CRANIO SACRAL THERAPY IN WATER™
This powerful and subtle method is designed to balance the cranio sacral rhythm and release restrictions of the connective tissue throughout the body. The patient´s body, being in flotation, moves in a uninhibited that expresses the changes in the tension and the mobility of the tissue. The therapist simply will follow and accompany this motion with the hands.
As the tissues release restrictions, their viscoelasticity change and come into a better functional alignment. More movement of the tissue, fluids and structures will then be available, facilitating the selfcorrecting mechanisms of the body itself. (Dr. John E. Upledger©)
How does it work?
What makes Cranial Sacral Therapy in Water™ an exceptional method is that it is fed by the tools of Watsu® to facilitate the support and the breath of the receiver, the smooth transitions and positioning of the body in the three-dimensionality of the water, and in addition, the benefits from the CST techniques to accompany the self-correction, guided by the inner wisdom of the body, with the therapist being the invisible facilitator whom the patient can trust.
Both Watsu® and CST are based on the principles of listening to the subtlest rhythms, facilitation of spontaneous movements and tendencies of the body, observation of the needs, respect for the limits and therapeutic intervention from the “Be with patient” and not “Doing to the patient”. From these common foundations Cranio Sacral Therapy in Water™ is born, as Elisa Muñoz Blanco understands, applies and shares.
