Opening event of the 2026–27 academic year at Watsupath™ Training Institute.

PRESENTATION
What makes an intervention in water a therapeutic intervention?
Water is not simply the place where an intervention takes place. Its physical and physiological properties influence movement, loading, body perception and therapeutic interaction, creating specific possibilities for working with different health processes.
Aquatic therapy is a constantly evolving interdisciplinary field that brings together knowledge from the health sciences, movement sciences and other disciplines related to the body, learning and behaviour.
With this event, Watsupath™ Training Institute opens its 2026–27 academic year and creates a space to explore aquatic therapy from a clinical, contemporary and professional perspective.
During approximately two hours, we will explore some of the principles underlying therapeutic work in water, from its properties and therapeutic possibilities to different approaches to intervention, evidence and professional development.
We will also introduce the new Watsupath™ academic programme and some of the people who will be part of this journey.
This is not a complete training programme. It is a starting point to explore, understand and discover new possibilities for working in the aquatic environment.
