Course Description.
Few systems have as much impact on the human body as the cranio-sacral system. It protects and nourishes the brain and spinal cord and affects nearly every area of central nervous system function.
In this Cranio-Sacral Therapy in Water™ Module 1 course, the basics necessary to understand the Cranio-Sacral and Fascial Systems are taught, including the techniques used to facilitate changes in these.
Program:
Course Highlights:
At the end of this 40-hour module, you will be able to:
– Describe the scientific foundation and principles of Cranio-Sacral Therapy and why it is the key to relieving pain and dysfunction at its source.
– Demonstrate fine-tuned palpation skills that you will be able to rely on as highly sensitive health tools.
– Identify the subtle cranio-sacral rhythm and interpret its patterns to accurately assess dysfunction and its corrections
– Locate the source of physical problems, traveling through the fascial system
– Release dural tube restrictions to improve interactions between the central nervous system and the rest of the body.
– Use techniques that produce dramatic health improvement and relaxation effects, including Still Point.
– Immediately implement a simple and effective protocol from listening and presence.
Prerequisites:
– Be a health professional, student in a health science or aquatic bodywork program.
Course Description
The understanding of the Body as an interrelated Whole, where the more tangible spheres coexist with the more subtle ones, provides a space for the Facilitator to get to know him/herself. These bases will make the therapeutic relationship the framework, wrapped by the support of Water, where the healing of the Patient is possible.
From the immersion in a deeper anatomical knowledge, we will be able to explore the frontiers of healing with the Cranio-Sacral System as a guide.
Once cells and tissues can speak directly, they easily guide Therapist and Patient on an efficient and effective Pathway back to Health. This is the future of modern medicine.
At the end of this 50-hour module, you will be able to:
– Discover how to integrate Sutherland’s technique for lesion identification into the Craniosacral Therapy Protocol.
– Improve your ability to perform whole body assessment by focusing on the physiological phenomena that occur.
– Explore the concepts of SomatoEmotional Release®, facilitating the release of repressed emotions that may be inhibiting full structural releases.
– Refine skills of awareness, listening and understanding through individual and group dynamics, as well as feedback from instructors and attendees.
– Observe expert demonstrations and participate in hands-on exercises.

Prerequisites:
CST in Water™ Module 1 and a thorough knowledge of practical work through practice sessions, received sessions and supervised group practice.
Course Description
Addressing the palate, tongue, jaw, and temporomandibular joint as part of the evaluation and treatment of the cranio-cervico-facial complex stimulates expression and helps to release repressed emotions.
The emphasis is on learning to listen to the body as a whole and to immerse oneself in the various physiological phenomena that occur, using various forms of communication that can be applied both on the surface of the water and underwater.
It is an open and deep exploration of the possibilities that can be achieved through connecting with the consciousness of an organ or tissue, using listening and therapeutic dialogue among other tools.
Program:
– The Path of Expression: hard palate, vomer, palate, zygomatic bones, nasal bones, teeth, supra- and infra-hyoid tissues, gums, and floor of the mouth.
– Integrating systems, improving structure and function, inviting Health, feeling a Unified Body.
– The therapeutic connection between practitioner and client: Therapeutic framing and communication.
Course Objectives:
At the end of this 50-hour module, you will be able to:
-Describe the Neuroanatomy, Physiology and Biomechanics of the Cranio-cervico-facial complex.
-Evaluate and mobilize the Pathway of Expression through more than 10 different body components, including the thoracic inlet, hard palate, and related tissues.
-Use Presence, Listening and Communication to accompany the body in its release process.
Prerequisites:
Craniosacral Therapy in Water™ Module 2 and a thorough understanding of hands-on work through practice sessions, received sessions and supervised group practices, as well as supervision with a CST in Water™ Instructor. Completion of the final project is required to become a CST Practitioner in Water™.
Practice Sessions
Students are required to give at least 20 hours of practice sessions during their CSTW™ studies, evenly distributing the required hours over a maximum of 3 years. Students should not receive payment for their practicum during this time. It is acceptable for the recipient to offer a contribution for pool rental.
Sessions received
Students are required to receive 10 professional sessions during the program. Three sessions must be CSTW™ sessions by a certified practitioner, and two may be sessions with certified practitioners in their field, such as Watsu®, WaterDance®, Jahara®, Healing Dance®, and Cranial Sacral Therapy.
Practice groups
There are 5 hours of supervised group practice required of the student. These hours can be combined with a CSTW™ 1, 2 and 3 course, facilitating accessibility for students who travel or do not have a community of local CSTW™ students to practice with. A certified assistant or teacher will supervise the class to help refine and define competencies, moving from the CSTW™ framework.
Supervised session with a CST in Water™ Instructor
Two 2-3 hr sessions are required, one before and one after CSTW™ Module 3. This time one on one, consists of going over the student’s weaknesses and strengths. Then an individual plan is developed to help students reach their career goals.
Clinical Case
Consists of a project of at least 5 hours by one or more CSTW™ students to complete the required certification hours. This project may consist of a case study, service project, or developing a continuing education course for CSTW™ professionals.
Projects can be completed at any time during the 6 months following the completion of Module 3, and once completed can be posted on the Institute’s website representing a resource for the benefit of all in terms of information and results.
The student will be mentored during the development of the clinical case to facilitate its approach, development, and conclusion.
– At least 40 continuing education credits are required every 2 years. These approved courses complement and deepen the training of a CSTW™ professional and allow the individual to continue their education in an area of interest.
– Any CSTW™ class may be repeated to complete these Continuing Education Credits.

Discover how to integrate Sutherland’s technique for identifying lesions into the CranioSacral Therapy Protocol.
The emphasis is on the evaluation of the body as a whole and in the various physiological phenomena that occur, integrating with various creative methods and techniques of dialogue, applied on the surface of the water and under water.
In this first Module you’ll learn gentle techniques to normalize the CranioSacral System and allow the body to self-correct. By unraveling pain and dysfunction at the source, you’ll naturally help eliminate stress, strengthen resistance to disease, and enhance health in every dimension.
