We are delighted to announce our next study group in Madrid which will be hosting a CST in Water workshop besides some practice hours.

DATE: 24/11/2024, Sunday.

ARRIVAL: 08:30h in the swimmingpool Building Unit 13 (Punctuality is mandatory to ensure that everyone can participate). At 9:00 the doors of the swimmingpool will be closed. We will be practicing until 16:00h.

From 09:00 to 11:00h Raquel López Paños will be guiding you through “Occipital as a meeting point” (CST in Water).

Together we will review the principles of application and the most relevant treatment techniques. It will be a time to resolve questions and difficulties you encounter in your day-to-day life and refresh the qualities and purpose for your practice!

From 11:30 to 15:30 students will be able to do supervised practice sessions applying the workshop learning at their own pace, individual supervisions with an instructor or an accredited assistant, and professional sessions with a practitioner, upon request. Watsu® students are also welcome for internships.

From 15:30 to 16:00: closing and signing of logbooks.

Watsupath™ for Valencia
Supervisions with an Instructor/Assistant and sessions received by an Instructor, Assistant or Practitioner have an additional cost which on this day will go entirely to raising funds to help the victims of the recent floods in Valencia through our sessions.

Raquel López Paños will be available to offer CST in Water® and Watsu® sessions and individual CST in Water® supervisions (raquellopezpanos@watsupath.com +34 646 627 095).

Elisa Muñoz Blanco will be available to offer CST in Water® and Watsu® sessions, #proyectosupershrinks™ sessions and individual supervisions of Watsu® and CST in Water® (elisa.mb@watsupath.com +34 635 428 816).

VENUE: Fundación Instituto San José, Calle Pinar de San José, 98 – Madrid 28054. We will meet punctually at the AQUATIC THERAPY UNIT.

PARTICIPATION FEE: Each participant will pay 80€ (VAT INCLUDED) for the use of the facilities and the workshop. To formalise the registration, it is necessary to make the payment with the concept ‘STUDY GROUP + FULL NAME by BIZUM to Raquel’s telephone number (+34 646 627 095) or by bank transfer to the following account ES54 1465 0100 91 1720027308.

In case of cancellation with less than 48 hours notice, the participation fee will not be refunded.

IMPORTANT INFORMATION:

Punctuality is essential, as we will be strict in the timings and duration of each practice, which in the case of supervised practices will be 45 minutes.

WHAT TO BRING:

  • Your Floats.
  • Watsu® logbook
  • Big water bottle (1 ½ l.). No glass in the pool, please!
  • Snacks, foof or fruit if you want to drink something in the right spaces.
  • Swimming suit, flip-flops, a towel and termal t-shirt (a lycra if your body temperature tends to drop. Water will be at 34ºC).
  • Shampoo, hair mask, gel and moisturizing creams.

TYPES OF PRACTICES:

  • Free practice: given to non-students.
  • Supervised practice sessions given between Watsu® students and supervised by a delegate from the Watsupath Training Institute. These hours will be recorded on your transcript as teaching hours.
  • Supervisions with a certified CST in Water and/or Watsu® Instructor/Assistant: meet with a Certified Instructor to review in detail the sequences of movements, giving and receiving, sometimes also with a third person. These hours will be recorded in your academic record as teaching hours.
  • Sessions received from a Watsu® Practitioner.
